CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson football team will look to end their 2022 campaign on a high note when they travel to Ursinus College to do battle with the Bears in a Centennial Conference battle. Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm in Collegeville.

Inside the Devils Den
Last Time Out
The Devils took a 10-0 lead last Saturday on Senior Day over No. 18 Johns Hopkins. However, the visitors outscored Dickinson 28-0 over the final 30-minutes to pickup a 35-13 win at Biddle Field.
Rocco With the Rock
Rocco DiRico completed nine of 18 passes on the day for 81 yards, but was sacked six times. For the season he has appeared in seven games throwing for just under 700 yards (698) tossing four touchdowns.
Matt Maiona has also spent time under center completing 44 of 83 attempts for just under 500 yards (489) to go along with two TDs.
Top Targets
DiRico targeted five different receivers on Saturday with the duo of
Johnny Knight and Ball each hauling in four passes for 36 and 35 yards respectively.
Princeton Douglass added one catch racking up ten yards. He also threw balls in the direction of
Devlin McCool and
Bryce Peterson, but they were unable to reel them in. Douglass continues to be the top weapon for the Red and White making 29 catches for just under 400 yards (394) and three scores. Knight has added 27 receptions racking up 309 yards. The duo of Ball and Peterson have accounted for 35 catches totaling 398 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Markey joined the double-digit catch crew and is now at 10 grabs for 119 yards.
Nikkos Kovanes and McCool each have a touchdown on the season as well.
Ground Attack
The Devils did a solid job on the ground against the Jays rushing 42 times for 109 yards and a TD. As he does so often Ball led the Red and White with 93 yards on 22 touches, including a 20-yard housecall in the first quarter. Douglass picked up 11 on four carries, while DiRico chipped in six yards thanks to 14 rushes. Ball continues to be the top rusher in the conference as he leads the league in total yards (998), yards per game (110.9), rushing touchdowns (11), and yards per carry (5.5). Douglass is second on the team in rushing picking up 162 yards on 33 touches averaging 4.9 per touch. From the quarterback spot DiRico has added 67 yards an one TD on 49 attempts.
Defense is Strong
Dickinson continues to put forth solid defensive numbers as the Red and White rank fifth in the Centennial in both points allowed per game (22.2) in the conference at 20.6 and yards per game (301.9). The Devils pass defense continues to be tough to breakdown as they are only allowing 174.3 yards per game to rank second in the conference, while their 127.6 yards surrendered on the ground is good for fifth. On Saturday, Dickinson was led by Centennial Conference tackle leader
Tanner Long who posted a dozen stops on the day (eight solo), while
Alex Sulin also notched 12 tackles on the day. The trio of
Neville Krueger,
Bram Leys, and
Justin Rocha each had five hits.
James Basilii and
Keon Eady both recorded four stops and forced one fumble.
Inside the Nest
Ursinus enters Saturday's contest with a mark of 7-2 overall and 6-2 inside the Centennial and are coming off a 65-2 conference romp over Juniata on the road in Huntingdon. On the day Jack Psenicska tossed three touchdowns going 23-of-34 for 299 yards, while his backup Jalen Bradford came in to throw just five passes completing three of them with two going to the house. Eleven different Bears caught passes on the day with Justin Collier clearing the century mark with four grabs for 120 yards and three scores. Ryan Savage and Tyler Losten each hauled in a TD pass as well and posted 45 and 32 yards respectively. Dallas Evans caught the most balls going six for 52. On the ground Tony Holden led the way with eight touches for 49 yards and a score, while Dawson Fresses toted the rock six times for 42 as well as two TDs. The Ursinus defense was stout recording 11 tackles for loss, including four sacks. Evan Hannings paced the team with six tackles. Ethan Belville added five stops (3.5 for loss), followed by four each from Eric Amponsah and Ryan Bodolus as the pair also accounted for 1.5 sacks. Anthony Esposito picked off one pass on the afternoon as well.
