Devils and Green Terror Share the Points in Carlisle

CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's soccer team did exactly what they needed to do on Saturday by picking up an early goal against the visiting McDaniel College. Unfortunately, for the Red and White the Green Terror answered back eight minutes later to share pivotal Centennial Conference points at Miller Memorial Field.

The visiting side recorded the first shot of the game in the 12th-minute when Peyton Viggiano let a blast fly towards Elizabeth Allen which she handled easily. It was just a minute after that when the Devils took the lead as Sophia Elguera played a pass to Ava Prisco who potted her fifth of the season. After Viggiano missed to the right during the 16th, the visitors found the equalizer in minute 21 thanks to Jessica Weinoldt. Each team would get one more chance over the remaining portion of the half as Bayleigh Perdue had a chance blocked by the defense, while Sarah Cudmore was denied by keeper Lauren Hoolahan to send things to the half.

McDaniel carried the play over the early part of the second period earning five corner kicks and recording two shots over the first 20-plus, but neither chance bothered Allen. The final ten minutes of the match saw Dickinson be primarily on the "front foot" as they picked up three corners, however, none of them would result in a shot which led to the match finishing in a draw.
