Ethan Jarden scored three times and classmate
Saul Iwowo handed out three helpers as the ninth-ranked Dickinson men's soccer team grabbed their first Centennial Conference win of the season with a 4-3 win over the visiting Gettysburg College Bullets at Miller Memorial Field on Wednesday night. The win for the Red and White marked the first win over GC since the 2018 campaign.
- It would be the visitors who took the 1-0 lead just 7:23 into the game when James Blake found Aidan Muller off a well executed corner.
- However, the Devils answered three minutes later when Iwowo had a shot swept off the line by a GC defender. Fortunately for the home side the resulting attempted clearance bounced off of Connor Uitterdijk and in past Leandro Riberio.
- After attempts from Nicholas Dwamena, Daniel Spataro and Iwowo went off the mark, Jarden got his first of the night in the 24th minute off a dish from Iwowo.
- The Bullets notched the final four shots of the frame over the final 15 minutes, but none of them bothered DC keeper Aidan George.
- The Devils made their first shot of the period count as a ball put into the box by Iwowo came right to the boot of Jarden who hammered the ball into the top corner for a 3-1 lead with 50:23 gone.
- However, Gettysburg cashed in on their opening chance with Chase Sempervive slipping a shots through the hands of George and in making it 3-2.
- They would then draw level in the 65th when Sergio Fraguas Neto unleashed a shot from outside the 18-yard box which found the back of the net.
-  Offerings from Tyson Burling, Luke Finkielstein and Iwowo did not test Riberio, but a ball played back into the box by Finkielstein came to Dwamena who forced it over to Jarden for the tap in giving the Devils a 4-3 edge.
- Dickinson almost made it 5-3 during the 73rd, but a header from Finkielstein pinged off the post.
- Gettysburg would add five more shots over the remainder of the match forcing George into making three saves to close out the win.
- Goals - Jarden (3), Uitterdijk (1)
- Shots - Iwowo (5), Dwamena and Jarden (3)
- Saves - George (3)
- Goals - Three players tied (1)
- Shots - Neto (3)
