CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's volleyball team opened up the home conference portion of their schedule on Saturday afternoon by welcoming Haverford College to the Kline Center. Unfortunately, for the Red and White the Fords were able to jump out to leads in all three sets en route to a 3-0 victory for the visitors.
- Cameryn DeBlecourt started the match on the service line and did not leave until her team took a 10-0 lead. Thanks in large part to four blocks and two aces.
- Kills for Alexa Barowski and Jessica Currie helped DC cut into the margin slightly at 12-4.
- Kayla Chu, Gia Frank, Taylor Jones and Izabela Potocnjak then went on a 12-2 outburst making it 23-6.
- A kill from Currie and combination block between Barowski and Currie brought it down to 23-10, before Caroline Lucas and Frank ended the frame 25-10.
- For the second straight frame the Fords jumped out to a quick 8-2 edge with Mallie Thomas and Currie supplying the DC points.
- Dickinson then went on a run of their own with Willow Palmer and Barowski to go in front 10-9.
- Amelia Kim, Eliette Whittaker, Barowski and Thomas helped the home side to stay tight as they trailed by one at 17-16.
- Aces for Chu and Potocnjak along with kills for Eliana Brown and Lucas put the Fords on the verge of the set 24-19.
- However, four consecutive HC miscues pulled DC back into the set 24-23, but a bad service gave the guests the 25-23 win.
- Kills for Kim and Thomas put the Red and White ahead 2-1, before Brown, Frank, Jones and Potocnjak moved the Fords ahead 11-5.
- Two kills each from Kim and Thomas trimmed the margin to just one 12-11.
- Once again though Haverford had an answer with Chu, Frank, Jones and Potocnjak opening up a four-point cushion 20-16.
- The Devils would only get two more scores on the day as Emery Fishbach and Whittaker tallied them, but Brown put away the final point of the match (25-18).
