CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's basketball team posted a solid 43.6% from the floor on Wednesday night, but it was outdone by a sizzling 56.3% put up by the visiting York College of Pennsylvania as the Spartans maintained their 11-point halftime edge (41-30) with a 73-62 non-conference win at the Kline Center.
- The visitors were hot early with triples for Tate Landis and Jackson Mascari helping them to a 13-1 edge as four minutes had gone.
- Five points from Cole Cosby and solo buckets by the duo of Isaiah Edmond, David Petrusev and Juan Ruiz made it 21-12 with 11:31 to play.
- A jumper for Aleks Smith and trey from Nick Schroeder bumped the gap to 26-12, but Brandon Wiercinski, Petrusev and Ruiz kept DC within striking distance at 26-17.
- Triples by Mascari and Schroeder aided YCP in collecting eight of the next ten for a 34-19 advantage inside the final five minutes.
- A Ryan Leskauskas three-ball kicked off an 11-7 charge for the Red and White over the remainder of the half as buckets for Cosby, Edmond and Petrusev left the deficit at 41-30 through 20 minutes.
- Edmond began the frame with a layup, but then the guests responded with six straight making it 47-32 with two minutes off the clock.
- Cosby delivered from deep and Edmond finished at the rim, before setting up Petrusev as Dickinson trimmed five off the gap (49-39).
- Two threes for the Spartans stunted the DC charge, before Andrew Cerullo, Edmond and Petrusev went on a 10-0 run to give the Devils life at 55-49 with seven minutes left.
- Unfortunately, York had an immediate response embarking on a 12-4 sprint to open the lead back out to 67-53 with just over two minutes to go.
- Dickinson would not be able to get any closer as closing baskets from Cerullo, Cosby and Ruiz set the 73-62 final.

- Dickinson (0-5) will head to the Big Apple for a pair of games this weekend. First, the Red and White will battle Pratt Institute on Saturday at 1pm, before taking on Baruch College a day later at 2pm.
