CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's soccer team continued their early season roll on Tuesday night with a 5-0 non-conference win at Miller Memorial Field over the visiting DeSales University Bulldogs. The Red and White were paced on the night by braces from both
Lila Brown and
Ava Prisco along with a trio of helpers from rookie
Lauren Ervin.
- Dickinson was out of the gates strong recording four shots inside the opening ten minutes with one going past DSU keeper Saige Santa Cruz thanks to Prisco cashing in a pass from Ervin.
- Things remained quiet until the 21st-minute Ervin setup two more Devil goals in a span of 16-seconds to both Brown and Prisco for a 3-0 advantage.
- Three minutes later it became 4-0 as a corner played in by Emily Dunkel found Brown for her second of the night and the 4-0 lead.
- The Red and White tallied three more chances in the half with Isra Khan forcing one more stop out of Santa Cruz.
- Over the opening 45-minutes the Devils held a 15-0 edge in shots.
- DeSales recorded their first shot of the match during the 55th-minute when Emma Ribeiro had an attempt from outside the box knocked away by the Devils backline.
- After a quiet first-half for DC keeper Sophia Kavulich, Emma Burrows replaced her between the sticks for the Red and White and was called upon to make stops against both Rebecca Bury and Ribeiro.
- Dickinson tested new Bulldogs keeper Sophia Hallal in the 67th and 75th with Bella Periera and Becca Schulman asking questions, but each one turned away.
- The Devils set the final scoreline seven minutes from time when Ava Cefaloni unleashed a rocket past the goalie for the 5-0 win.
