Devils Drop Two on Final Day of Pennsylvania State Cup

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson men's squash team concluded their busy stretch of five matches in three days at the Pennsylvania State Cup on Sunday afternoon with matchups against both the University of Pennsylvania and Franklin & Marshall College. Unfortunately, for the Red and White both the Quakers and Diplomats secured wins by 9-0 and 8-1 respectively.

Match One - Quakers 9, DEVILS 0
Inside the Match

The top-ranked Quakers had things under control all match long collecting 3-0 wins at every flight except for the top one where Joe Smythe claimed the second game with a 14-12 triumph, before Marwan Abdelsalam took the next two 11-3 and 11-6.

Inside the Match

The Devils lone win came at the number three spot where William Krizek took the first two games 11-8 and 13-11, before dropping the next two to Toby Clegg-Petri (11-5, 11-8). However, in the fifth it would be Krizek who claimed victory at 11-7. Du playing at number eight grabbed the second game versus David Vahlsing Jr, but could no nab the win falling in four. All other matches saw the Diplomat triumph in three.
