LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Dickinson College women's swimming team closed their impressive weekend at the Franklin & Marshall Invite with a strong sixth place overall finish. Junior
Anna Gnagey closed her fantastic weekend by setting a new school record in the 100 IM and tallying multiple top five finishes.
Preliminary Qualifiers
- In the women's 200 Back, Anna Gnagey recorded another top three finish, placing third in 2:06.37. Senior Tori May will also advance to finals with her eighth place 2:09.90 finish.
- Sophomore Caitlin Gross punched her ticket to the evening finals in the women's 100 Free, finishing 22nd in 54.87.
- First-year Natalie Bezanson tallied another top finish on the weekend, finishing ninth in the women's 200 Breast in 2:28.29 for a new PR. Sydney Farling will also advance to finals with her 19th place 2:33.26 finish.
- The women's 200 Fly featured senior Emma Johnston's seventh place, 2:12.13 finish and junior Julia Byers placing 15th in 2:17.80.
Finals Results
- Gnagey opened finals strong in the women's 100 IM, finishing third and recording a new PR and lowering her own school record to 1:00.13
- In the women's 200 Back, Gnagey continued her fantastic weekend with a fourth place, 2:08.70 finish. May rounded out the A-Final with an eighth place, 2:09.96 finish.
- Bezanson continued in the women's 200 Breast finals, finishing 12th overall in 2:28.84.
- In the women's 200 Fly, Johnston rounded out the A-Final with her eighth place, 2:14.80 finish. Byers recorded a 15th place, 2:20.18 finish to close out the B-Final.
- May had a strong swim in the 1650 Free, finishing sixth in 17:53.36. Byers finished ninth overall with a 18:03.17 performance.
Relay Results
- The 400 Free Relay squad made up of Gnagey, Alina Shipley, Bezanson, and Gross placed 10th in 3:39.16.
On Deck
The Red Devils are set to return on December 5 and 6 at the Gettysburg College Invite. Races will begin on Friday at 6 p.m., and on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
