CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson volleyball team used a balanced effort on Wednesday night recording 38 kills, 33 assists, seven aces and seven blocks en route to a 3-0 conference win over the visiting McDaniel College Green Terror inside the Kline Center. The Red and White claimed the match with set scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-10.
First Set
- Things started well for the guests with scores by Abigayle Bowley, Kaitlyn Saidat and Kailey Young staking them to an early 9-5 edge.
- Points for Cassidy Davis, Mallie Thomas and Eliette Whittaker helped the hosts to get within 13-11.
- The trio of Stephanie Buttons, Cassy Poteet and Bowley helped the Terror to claim five of the next six making it 18-12.
- From that moment on it was all Devils with kills from Jessica Currie, Emery Fishbach, Norah Oppenheim, Davis and Thomas put the Red and White on the verge at 24-19. That was when Camille Dofiles stepped to the service line and put home an ace to wrap things up 25-19.
Second Set
- The teams shared the first ten points as Katie Arcara, Fishbach, Oppenheim and Thomas tallied kills for the Devils.
- Two kills each from Davis and Fishbach along with contributions for Kylie Schner, Oppenheim and Whittaker gave DC some separation at 14-9.
- Kaylee Comstock, Buttons and Young helped McDaniel to slow the push for a second (17-12), but Currie, Davis, Fishbach and Oppenheim rattled off seven of the ensuing eight to make it 24-13.
- Sydney Turner and Young gave the visitors some spark trimming it down to 24-15, before a service error by Comstock ended the frame 25-15.
Third Set
- Dickinson came out firing with three kills for Thomas and a single by Currie giving DC a 6-2 edge.
- A kill from Turner stymied the Devils for just a second, but then five points by Whittaker along with kills for Currie, Davis and Fishbach set the Red and White on a 9-0 spurt extending the gap to 15-3.
- Blocks for Christiana Alapa, Bowley and Buttons helped the Terror to cut the deficit down to 17-7.
- Iona Nelson accompanied the duo of Fishbach and Thomas during an 8-3 run to close the match out as a mishit by Young closed the set at 25-10.

- Dickinson (17-10, 5-4 Centennial) will close out the regular season on Saturday at noon inside the Kline Center when they welcome the Shorewomen of Washington College to the Kline Center for Senior Day. It will be a "Win and In" for both teams as the winning team will take the sixth and final spot in next week's Centennial Conference Tournament.
