ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team an extra two days to bring their season finale to a conclusion as the Red and White dropped a 6-1 decision to Muhlenberg College on Sunday afternoon at the Kern Field Courts in a match that started on Friday afternoon, but was suspended due to rain.
Doubles (Mules 2-1)
The Devils top pair of
Drew Allen and
Lucas Bogle staved off a challenge from Owen Dyer and William Rose by a score of 6-3. The second duo of
Florian Anderson and
Eddy Chow were tripped up by an identical 3-6 margin. Muhlenberg was able to secure the doubles point with Noah Katz-Isaac Shulman holding off
Aidan MacIntosh-
Ryan Whiting (5-7).
Singles (Mules 5-1)
The home side added another point at the number one slot where Dyer bested Bogle (0-6, 3-6). Allen collected the Devils lone tally on the second line where he took down Matt Miller 7-6 (7-4 tiebreak) and 6-4. At the third spot, Chow claimed two games from Rose (1-6, 1-6). The fourth and fifth flights both went the distance with Max Gofton and Josh Simon of the Mules posting three-set wins over Anderson (5-7, 6-2, 2-6) and MacIntosh (4-6, 6-4, 4-6) respectively. On the sixth line, Shulman held off Whiting by margins of 3-6, 5-7.
