NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Dickinson women's lacrosse assistant coach
Taylor Blick became a part of a very special group earlier this week as she became a graduate of the inaugural Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Aspire Program. Blick along with 16 other assistant and associate head coaches from across all three Divisions of the NCAA finished the intensive nine-month course which was dedicated to professional development that targeted growing both personal and professional elements of coaching.
Approved by the IWLCA Board of Directors in June of 2024, the Aspire program was led by the duo of Sarah McQuade and Julie Muller from e.t.c. coaching consultants. The pair served as the lead facilitators and the 17-member group through a hybrid curriculum consisting of online courses, live webinars, in-person sessions at the 2024 IWLCA Convention and individual mentoring sessions throughout the academic year. The goal of the Aspire program aimed to enhance coaches' professional knowledge, harness personal reflective practices and build on the critical interpersonal skills needed to thrive in collegiate coaching.
"Getting the opportunity to be a part of the Aspire program was an honor and a privilege" Blick said. "I learned so much about how to be a leader in a women's sport and the importance that comes with that responsibility. The community and network that I gained throughout this experience is one that will stick with me throughout my career."Â Â
Red Devils head coach,
Kim Masimore went on to add "Taylor is committed to the holistic development of our student-athletes and driven to win. We are so grateful to have her here in Carlisle as a part of our Red Devil family and cannot wait for next season."Â
