- Dickinson would make their first shot of the contest matter when Maddie St. Amand played a ball to Bitsko who fired a shot beyond Alex Jurow for the 1-0 lead in the eighth minute.
- The teams traded the next four shots with the chances for GC not testing Gray, while both Kaitlyn Arnold and Bitsko had chances smacked aside by Jurow with 20 minutes off the clock.
- In the 23rd, the Red and White had two more cracks at extending their advantage unfortunately, Joelle Ma sent one wide right and Lila Brown was denied by Jurow.
- However, Dickinson did indeed take a 2-0 lead during the 33rd-minute as Emma Barrabee crossed the ball to Gross for the finish.
- Each side got one more look before the break as both Isabella Prestia and Barrabee missed to the left of target.

- Gettysburg did eventually pull one back when off a corner the ball eventually worked its way to Brooke Morrison who let one fly from just outside the box which clipped the bottom of the crossbar and dropped into the net with 57:28 gone.
- In the 72nd, Georgia Mantione blasted one over the frame, before two minutes later Nordwind rippled the back of the net for a 3-1 advantage.
