No. 8 Devils and Bullets Play to a Scoreless Conference Draw at the Battlefield

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The eighth-ranked Dickinson men's soccer team played to an entertaining 0-0 draw Centennial Conference draw with the host Gettysburg College on Tuesday night at Clark Field. The Red Devils were anchored by a standout performance from their goalkeeper, Nick Potter, who recorded five saves to secure the shutout, while Gettysburg's Sean Kennedy, matched Potter with eight saves of his own.

First Half
  • Potter was called into action early for Dickinson, denying a shot by Cameron Linnington in the sixth minute.
  • The Red Devils would then get on the attack with a sequence of three shots coming from Nicholas Dwamena and Ethan Jarden (3) between the 8th and 23rd minutes, all saved by Kennedy.
  • Luke Finkielstein tallied the final attempt of the frame during the 39th-minute, but once again Kennedy was up to the task as the match went to the break at 0-0.
Second Half
  • Dickinson's Saul Iwowo initiated offensive pressure early for the visitors with a shot in the 47th minute, but Kennedy once again made the save.
  • Potter recorded crucial saves in the 55th and 61st minutes denying both Athi Msiza and Linnington, keeping the match scoreless.
  • Linnington continued to be active for the Bullets, as he delivered another shot in the 67th which Potter beat away.
  • The Devils then tried to break out on the counter attack and watched attempts from Jeremy Sallade and Iwowo be shutdown by Kennedy as the match hit the final ten minutes.
  • Timi Omoniwa and Jarden tried to get DC on the board in the 84th minute, unfortunately, Jarden's was saved and Omoniwa's missed the target.
  • The period ended with multiple yellow cards against GC and defensive stands at both ends of the pitch, resulting in a 0-0 tie at the final whistle.
