GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Dickinson women's swim team traveled the Messiah University this morning to take on the Falcons in a dual-meet. The Red Devils recorded a strong 140-122 win and tallied many first-place individual finishes.
Individual Results
- 1000 Freestyle — Junior
Julia Byers won in 11:10.68;
Tori May followed closely in 11:12.52.
- 200 Freestyle —
Emma Johnston had a great first-place finish in 2:02.01;
Anna Gnagey came second, with a 2:04.22 performance.
- 50 Freestyle —
Caitlin Gross won the event, with a 25.21 finish;
Izzy Klonsky placed second in 26.77.
- 200 Butterfly — First-Year
Alina Shipley secured a first place win in 2:21.73; Fellow first-year
Keely McGhee finished second, with a 2:29.78 swim.
- 100 Backstroke —
Anja Tarateta notched a second place finish in 1:06.85.
- 100 Butterfly — Johnston claimed another first-place victory, swimming a 1:01.12; Klonsky was third in 1:03.46.
- 500 Freestyle — First-year
Natalie Bezanson nabbed a win, with a quick 5:31.14 swim.
- 400 IM — Byers took first in 4:52.29; May followed closely in second, with a time of 4:52.78.
Relays
- 200 Yard Medley Relay — Dickinson A, Gnagey,
Lydia Mossi, Johnston, and Gross, placed first with a time of 1:51.87; Dickinson B, McGhee,
Bella Gerkin, Klonsky, and Shipley, finished third.
- 400 Yard Freestyle Relay — Dickinson A, Bezanson, Gnagey, Shipley, and Gross, took second with a time of 3:49.02.
What's Next?
Dickinson will return home to face Gettysburg College on Friday, January 30, at 5 p.m. The competition will take place at the Clarke Aquatic Center in Carlisle, PA.
