HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Dickinson Men's Soccer team trailed 2-0 at halftime, but they didn't let the deficit deter them as they scored 3 unanswered goals in the final 45 minutes, including one from Jeremy Sallade in the 86th, to beat the Fords of Haverford College 3-2 in Haverford.
First Half
- The Fords' first shot on goal found the back of the net as Charles Sharp scored in the 17th minute.
- Connor Gustafson would not be as lucky in the 28th, as Gavin Marr was able to save his attempt.
- A third shot on goal for the Fords off the foot of Thomas Vanni went into the goal, giving the hosts a 2-0 advantage in the 35th minute.
- The Devils took 5 shots in the half, including one off of a corner kick in the 43rd minute by Sallade, but failed to get a shot on goal in the first 45 minutes as Grayson Benson went into the halftime break unchallenged.
Second Half
- Mika Rafidimahavonjy wasted no time for the Red and White, scoring a goal in the 46th minute to cut the Fords lead in half.
- A second shot on goal from Rafidimahavonjy in the 51st minute could not beat Benson.
- Marr was able to stop a shot off the foot of Aiden Lee in the 56th.
- Benson registered another save in the 57th, this time stopping Andrew Schreiner from scoring.
- Marr also recorded another stop in the 60th minute, saving an attempt off the foot of Vanni.
- Dickinson had two corner kicks in the 64th minute, but neither resulted in a shot.
- Timi Omoniwa tied up the game with a penalty kick in the 66th minute.
- Benson rejected a shot from Roan Harrington in the 68th minute to keep the score knotted at 2.
- Marr would do the same for Dickinson in the 78th minute, stopping Jon D'Amour.
- Sallade broke the tie late with a goal in the 86th minute with an assist from Nicholas Dwamena.
- A header from Gustafson would go wide of the goal in the 89th minute, sealing a 3-2 come from behind win for the Red Devils.
