LANCASTER, Pa. –
Darian Crim provided the first goal of the match in the 15th minute, but Nico Gonzalez responded for the host Franklin and Marshall College to cause the Centennial Conference rivals to split the points in a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon at Tylus Field.
First Half
- Both teams threatened within the first six minutes as Darian Crim had a header bound just wide of Diego Moreno's net, while at the other end Nico Palacios sent an attempt off the post.
- The Red and White continued to pressure the Diplomats end with the trio of Jason Dixon, Timi Omoniwa and Mika Rafidimahavonjy all letting shots fly, but none of them testing the keeper.
- Between the 11th and 15th minutes, Dickinson would earn five corners and get three shots from Charlie Roy that were all blocked by the defense, before Patrick McCune setup Crim for the finish (1-0).
- Back-to-back chances from Sutton Hoehl and Caden Darby did nothing to bother DC keeper Gavin Marr, which allowed Omoniwa to race back the other way and have his shot pushed aside by Moreno.
- Despite numerous chances for the Devils to add onto their advantage it would ultimately be Nico Gonzalez who solved Marr with 36:34 gone to tie the game at 1-1.
- Omoniwa posted the final shot of the frame, but it was stopped by Moreno.
Second Half
- With ten minutes gone each team recorded two shots with Roan Harrington and Rafidimahavonjy posting them for DC, while Jack Baer and Vahe Kassabian let them go for F&M.
- Dickinson applied most of the pressure during the middle part of the period with Connor Harrington, Crim and Omoniwa each forcing a stop out of Moreno.
- The home side did not tally another shot until the 80:10 mark as Darby sailed one over the top of goal.
- The Red and White added three more chances late in the match looking for a winner, but R. Harrington, Rafidimahavonjy and Roy were unable to solve Moreno.
