Inside the Game
- After Zachary Harris allowed a leadoff walk to Dylan Posencheg, he set down the next three batters to retire the side. Then in the home-half of the first, Ben Myers got back-to-back groundouts to open the frame. Two walks put men on base, before a stolen base and DC error allowed one to cross. Myers would prevent any further damage by getting Carter Reid to watch strike three.
- With one down in the second, a single for Miguel Reich and double off the bat of Freeman Hunt gave way to an RBI groundout by Ethan Sodl. That brought Matt Conforti to the box and he gave the Devils the advantage with a knock to center. Myers gave up a single to open the bottom-half but then got two flyouts along with a groundout to end the inning.
- Following a quiet top of the third, Isaiah Parido started things off with a walk, before tying the game up off an RBI single for Cristian Reyna. Drew Hurst and Reid would then flyout ending any more of a rally.
- Myers then took control of the game setting down nine of the ensuing ten batters he faced to keep the game tied at 2-2 entering the seventh.
- Dickinson used the long ball to reclaim the advantage with both Johnny Bruno and Luke Gartland smacking the ball over the wall. However, in the home-half Landon Mark reached on an error, before Parido launched a two-run homer to knot things up (4-4). That ended the day for Myers as he gave way to John Talt who got Hurst to ground out to first for the last out.
- The bottom of the eighth saw Drew Norton allow two walks but record a strikeout of Brayden Burkholder to swing through strike three ending the frame. Posencheg was hit by a pitch and Will Ferris walked to open the top of the ninth. A groundout moved both men up 90-feet which set the stage for a two-run two-bagger by Kyle Bailey making it 6-4. Mark led off the last chance for the Falcons by reaching on an error. Niszczak would then enter for Norton and get Parido to bounce into a double play. Following a free pass to Reyna, Hurst lined out to short ending the game.
