YORK, Pa. - The Dickinson men's track and field team took on the York College Twilight Meet on Wednesday evening. The Red Devils won the meet with 112 points, recording top finishes in a plethora of events. Notably, field athlete
Oliver Stroka won the hammer and broke the school record he had set last weekend.
Sprints
- In his first race of the 2026 Outdoor season, sophomore Franklyn Akabi-During won the 100m with a personal-best 10.56. The time currently ranks second in Dickinson history, beating the time he had set last year at Moravian College.
- First-year Aidan Coyne took tenth in the 110m Hurdles, clocking a new personal-best time of 17.49.
- Akabi-During picked up another win in the 200m, posting a time of 21.59. The time sits at third all-time at Dickinson and is just lower than his current school record of 21.25. Sophomore Darian Crim took second place to set a new personal-best time of 21.86.
- Crim continued to win the 400m with a time of 47.69. His performance is a new personal best and currently ranks second at Dickinson, besting his own time set last year at Moravian. Senior Trevor Richwine placed fourth overall, recording a time of 48.84 to tie the fifth-best time at Dickinson.
- First-year Owen Seveland notched a great third-place finish in the 400m Hurdles, recording a time of 54.99 to set a new personal best.
Distance
- Red Devils dominated the 800m, led by first-year Michael Dooley taking second place with a personal-best 1:53.85. In sixth place was senior Matthew Gareau with a time of 1:56.53. First-year Griffin McConnville took 15th (2:01.54) with a new personal-best, and sophomore Alex Hansen followed in 16th (2:01.85).
- Junior Nathan Caldwell had a great performance in the 1500m, posting a time of 4:03.20 to finish second overall. Richwine took fifth place, clocking a time of 4:05.77. Benjamin Moseman and and Avi Ghorai went back-to-back in seventh and eighth, posting times of 4:07.68 and 4:07.83 respectively.
- Sophomore Edward Liszka recorded a new personal best in the 5000m, taking 11th place with a time of 15:58.94.
Field
- Oliver Stroka smashed his school record set last weekend in hammer, recording a mark of 54.90m. The performance bests his record by over 2 meters and is currently No. 9 in Division III right now.
- Sophomore Damon Buchanan took sixth in javelin with a great mark of 52.21m to set a new season-best.
- The shot put featured Dan Echeverri recording a season-best mark of 12.91m.
Relays
- In the 4x800m Relay, the A squad of Maximus Fite, Walker Crochet, Alexander Radishofski, and Ghorai won with a time of 8:27.94.
- To finish the meet, the 4x400m Relay team of Akabi-During, Richwine, Gareau, and Crim won with a strong 3:18.84 performance.
