CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis began a stretch of two matches in three days on Thursday afternoon with a dominant 7-0 non-conference win over the visiting Alvernia University at the Hays Tennis Courts.
Doubles (DEVILS 3-0 | Count as one point in team score)
Things started off with the third pair of
Eddy Chow and
Dylan Steinberg earning a walkover win as the visitors were not able to field a team. The top unit of
Ben Cioladis and
Jack Weaver bested Andrew Kao-Lucas Montello 6-1, while
Aidan MacIntosh and
Ryan Whiting notched the same margin versus Jordan Bosco-Troy O'Malley.
Singles (DEVILS 6-0)
On the two line, Cioladis toppled O'Malley 6-0, 6-0, before MacIntosh posted a 6-0, 6-1 triumph over Kao. Whiting playing at four allowed one game in each set to Bosco for the 6-1, 6-1 win, while in the top slot Weaver edged out Montello (6-3, 6-2). Alvernia was unable to field opposition at five and six allowing
Dylan Steinberg (5th) and
Eddy Chow to grab wins via walkovers.
