The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America announced both the team and individual 2025-26 Scholar All-Americans. Both Dickinson women's and men's teams were honored for the Spring 2026 semester, alongside sophomore Samson Qu earning an individual spot.
Majoring in Mathematics, Qu placed on the CSCAA Scholar All-American second team. He is one of over 2,230 swimmers to earn the honor for the 2025-26 season. Qualifying standards for the Second Team include maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher and earning at least one NCAA "B" Cut throughout the season. He becomes the first Red Devil to earn a spot since the 2019-20 season, where sophomore Logan Cort received the honor as an Honorable Mention.
Qu found immense success throughout the 2025-26 season, including setting new personal bests in six events, earning NCAA B-Cut distinctions four times, and breaking school records in the 100 IM, and apart of the relay teams for the 400 Free, 200 Medley, and 400 Medley.
At the 2026 Centennial Conference Championships, the sophomore won gold in the 100 Free with a time of 44.60 and lowered his NCAA B-Cut in the event. He recorded other podium finishes in the 200 Medley Relay (third place), 400 Medley Relay (fourth place), 200 Free Relay (fourth place), 400 Free Relay (fourth place), 50 Free (fifth place), and 100 Fly (eighth place).
As a team, both men's and women's programs were honored as a Spring 2026 Scholar All-America Team. Led by head coach Anthony Pompei and assistants Laurel Gingrich and Devon Chenot, the women's team achieved a 3.67 GPA and the men posted a 3.35 team average.
The CSCAA Spring 2026 Scholar All-America Teams, presented by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps, recognized 714 teams from 418 institutions, representing 16,680 student-athletes. Two Division III institutions posted the highest GPAs across all divisions, with Stevenson University's men's team posting a 3.95 and Colorado College's women's team achieving a 3.92. Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2026 grade point averages and were required to achieve a team GPA of 3.00 or higher to earn Scholar All-America recognition.
