Welcome to the Devils Den
From the Mind of Coach Zingman
- Thoughts on Schedule
- The schedule for this season is loaded with good high quality competition. Our non-conference slate is quite challenging, but very exciting to see how we stack up. Starting the year with four in a row at home is very nice because it will give us a chance to build up a rhythm early on without having to travel. When looking at the conference schedule every match will be competitive and we will approach each contest in the same manner and take them as their own individual challenge.Â
- How have your first-years acclimated to the college game so far?
- They have done great so far! They have come in from their summer break fit and ready to go which is all a coach can ask for. They have been able to integrate seamlessly and already look like well seasoned Dickinson women's soccer players and not like first-years at all.Â
- What is your outlook for the year ahead?
- I'm really excited about this season. We have a great mix of returning talent that will combine quite nicely with our dynamic group of rookies. We have a lot of potential and a very bright future, but now it is up to us to get out on the pitch and make the most of it every day.Â
- What should fans expect when they come out to watch your side play?
- I want people to see a side that empties the tank each and every match. We are going to grind for 90 minutes! I expect fans to see a total and complete team effort which includes being loud, supportive and encouraging on the sidelines to playing fast and physical on the pitch. The players came up with the slogan of "For Each Other" this season and I feel that encompasses the way I want us to play we are doing to do everything "For Each Other" this season and our fans will see that every time.
