CARLISLE, Pa. – Head Coach Jenn McMonagle and the Dickinson volleyball team take the top off of their 26-match schedule on Tuesday night when they make the short drive down to Wolf Gym on the campus of York College of Pennsylvania for a 7pm non-conference first serve with the Spartans.

Schedule Overview

• The Red and White will play their first three away from Carlisle, before opening up their 11-match home slate on Wednesday, September 9th against Penn State Altoona at 7pm. Following that the Devils will play their only home tri-match against Catholic (12pm) and Misericordia (4pm) on Saturday, September 12th.
• Their next four matches will be played away from the Kline Center with visits to Penn State Harrisburg and King's (Pa.) on September 15th (7pm) and 17th (7pm) respectively. Saturday, September 19th sees DC take part in their third tri-match of the season as they head to Swarthmore for the Centennial Conference lid-lifter against Garnet at 12pm, before battling Vassar in a non-conference clash (2pm). Home dates with Susquehanna (9/23 @ 7pm) and Alvernia (9/29 @ 7pm) surround a short trip to Messiah (9/25 @ 7pm).
• Leading up to the fall pause trip to Texas in the middle of October, the Devils will play three of four at home versus DeSales (10/1 @ 7pm), Johns Hopkins (10/7 @ 7pm) and Bryn Mawr (10/10 @ 1pm). They will then head to Texas for tough matchups with Howard Payne, Schreiner and Texas Lutheran between October 16th and 17th.
• Following their visit to the Lone Star State, Gettysburg and Haverford arrive at the Kline on 10/21 (7pm) and 10/24 (Senior Day) (1pm).
• The home slate concludes on Halloween afternoon at 1pm when Franklin and Marshall comes to Carlisle.

• Thoughts on Schedule
  • We want to use our competitive non-conference schedule as a launching point to get us ready for a very competitive Centennial Conference slate. We know that it is in the conference matches where it will be determined whether or not we make the postseason. So, it is our non-conference opponents that give us the chance to work out different rotations and ideas that will only make us better when we need to be.
• What have you seen in the preseason that has you excited about the season?
  • Our defense has truly been the star of the show so far this preseason! And our depth has definitely been a highlight as well, we have great options in every position and that is certainly going to be a huge benefit for us as we embark on this journey starting for real next week.
• How have your first-years acclimated to the college game so far?
  • Our first-years doing great! It is certainly a big transition but they are handling it as well as you could hope for. They are taking in everything that our program is about and have a great willingness to learn. I am so excited to watch them progress not only this season, but throughout their time as Red Devils.
• What do you want fans to see when they watch you play?
  • I want our fans to see good, disciplined volleyball with a willingness to also be scrappy when needed because our sport can be quite unpredictable. I hope they see a group of hardworking women who are ready to compete and are excited to represent Dickinson every time they step out on the court.
