CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's soccer team got their 2026 season off to a flying start on Tuesday night posting a 5-0 non-conference shutout over the visiting Juniata College at Miller Memorial Field. The Red and White were in complete command of the match from the opening whistle as they ended the match with a 39-1 edge in shots (17-1 on target) and had 10 corners to Eagles zero.
First Half
- It was one way traffic for the Devils over the opening 20-plus minutes as Norah Anderson, Anna Bitsko, Norah Heacock, Bridget Merkel, Ava Prisco and Ivana Vukas combined for 14 shots, forcing six stops from Emma Stiller.
- In the 32nd-minute, the home side finally got what they deserved as a cross from the left-wing off the foot of Caitlin Shimko found Bitsko who was able to turn the ball into the net.
- Then, with 38:23 gone, Ava Cefaloni connected with Emma Barrabell for her first of the season. That was followed 66-seconds later by Lauren Ervin finding Amber Liu at the top of the 18-yard box for a strike past Stiller making it 3-0 at half.
Second Half
- Dickinson continued to just keep the pressure on with Anderson, Bitsko, Prisco, Shimko and Vukas all firing shots towards frame, but only asked one question of Stiller.
- Maddie Kraft-Williams posted two shots in the 58th testing the keeper once.
- That set the stage for the fourth marker of the day as Bitsko had her chance pushed away by Stiller. However, the ensuing rebound fell right to Mamady Bangoura who opened her DC account.
- Following that tally Aralynn Patterson took over in goal for Pico Gray and was called upon just a couple of minutes later when she shutdown Jasmine Hechler.
- Four minutes from time the Red and White extended the margin to 5-0 when Lauren Flowers solved Bailey Gavitt who came in relief of Stiller.
- Izzy Chimento, Maddie Egan, Megan Lomotan, and Cefaloni added shots prior to the final horn, but did not add anything else to the score line.
