GETTYSBURG, Pa. -
Ava Prisco found the back of the net with 78:56 gone to account for the only goal on Wednesday night as the Dickinson women's soccer team posted their second straight conference shutout with a 1-0 victory over the host Gettysburg College Bullets at Clark Field.
First Half
- In a match that only saw eight total shots it would take until the half hour mark for either side to get into the attacking third with Joelle Ma forcing a stop out of Anna Kavountzis.
- Six minutes later, Gettysburg finally posted their opening chance as Kristine Squeglia was blocked by the backline.
- Ma tested the netminder again just prior to halftime, but once again Kavountzis was their for the save.
Second Half
- After Brooke Morrison missed over the top of the net patrolled by Pico Gray, Dickinson got shots from Kaitlyn Arnold, Emma Barrabee and Bridget Merkel over the next 15 minutes. However, none of them bothered Kavountzis.
- There would only be one more opportunity the remainder of the match and it was the only one that mattered as Prisco fired the ball off the left post and beyond the reach of Kavountzis for the 1-0 win.
