CARLISLE, Pa. – The Dickinson men's soccer team played a hard 90 minutes on Wednesday night, but it was the visiting Eagles of Juniata College who scored the lone goal of the contest.
First Half
- The Red and White were aggressive early with six shots in the first 20 minutes of play including two from Sachil Kenkre, but only forced Juniata goalie Maxwell Mattioni to make two saves.
- The remaining 25 minutes of the first half saw two shots from each team as Mattioni stopped shots from Darian Crim and Mika Rafidimahavonjy while Gavin Marr saved one off the foot of Jayden Gaynor.
Second Half
- Parker Kiey would get the first shot less than a minute into the half and Charlie Roy's scoring attempt was stifled by Mattioni about five minutes later.
- Gaynor would find the back of the net with a shot in the 52nd minute to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead on their only shot of the half.
- Shots from Kenkre in the 54th, Kiey in the 61st, Crim in the 65th and 78th, and Roy in the 72nd would give the Devils opportunities to tie the score, but three stops was all Mattioni needed to keep the Red Devils out of the scoring column.
