CARLISLE, Pa. -
Gillian Rosenstock scored off a penalty corner inside the first three minutes to take a 1-0 lead against the visiting Johns Hopkins University. However, the Blue Jays responded with five unanswered markers en route to a 5-1 Centennial Conference win at the Biddle Field Complex.
First Quarter
- It would be the first shot of the game that led to the opening marker as Rosenstock inserted a corner to Nicole Uebele who played the ball to Erin Liggio who then returned the rock back to Rosenstock for the finish.
- Dickinson had a chance to go ahead 2-0, but the offering from Alexandra Hockwitt was knocked down by the defense.
- Hopkins would then get tallies from Ava Zimmerman and Deedee Golla on their next two shots for a 2-1 edge through one.
Second Quarter
- The Red and White would struggle to find any offensive flow in the period as the guests posted the only six shots resulting in three stops by Arden Cook keeping the margin at just 2-1 heading to the break.
Third Quarter
- Following two more stops by Cook to open up the frame, Zimmerman collected her second of the day with 5:53 gone (3-1).
- Hopkins added three additional shots with Cook posting another save, while Rosenstock swept the ball off the line after a shot from An Tran.
Fourth Quarter
- Dickinson attempted to close the gap within the first two minutes, but a pair of corners only led to one shot for Caroline Kirkpatrick which was stopped by Jessica Lapidus.
- With just under ten minutes left the Devils continued to push with Kirkpatrick and Uebele forcing two more saves from Lapidus.
- Unfortunately for the hosts those would be the final shots of the game as the Jays defense locked things down, while Kaitlin Coward and Tran put the ball into the cage for the 5-1 win.
