Coach Russick (Susquehanna '11) returned ro the Red Devil sidelines last fall and will work primarily with the running backs. He was on the staff in 2014 and returns after a one year hiatus. Russick spent three years with his alma mater, Susquehanna University before coming to Dickinson in 2014. Russick was a three-year letter-winner for the Crusaders, earning 31 consecutive starts on the offensive line.
Russick was a defensive lineman as a rookie, before settling in as a regular starter on offense. He helped the Crusaders capture a Liberty League title in 2009, earning a bid to the NCAA Division III playoffs. Also as a player, he assisted with the coordination of Breast Cancer Awareness, and Autism Awareness games at Susquehanna.
Russick graduated and joined the Susquehanna coaching staff in the spring of 2011. He worked primarily with the tight ends and the offensive line. In addition, he served as the video coordinator and played a key role in the development of the Crusaders’ youtube page and social media channels on twitter and facebook.
Earning a B.S. in biology, Russick has taught high school science for the past two years and is currently a member of the faculty at Central Dauphin East. Previously, he taught at Jacksonville and West Carteret High Schools in North Carolina. During his tenure, he was an assistant football coach at both schools, helping lead his teams to the state playoffs in 2015 and 2016.
He has volunteered at Lauren’s First and Goal Football Camp for a number of years and has also worked with the Panther Valley High School program as an offensive line coach.
