Before Coming to Dickinson: Spent one year at Division I High Point University where he was a member of the Panthers lacrosse program.

High School and Club Info: Attended and competed at Haldane High School in New York where he was a multi-sport athlete for the Blue Devils playing basketball, football and lacrosse. In lacrosse he was named to the All-Section team his junior and senior year, he was named All-League all four years, earned the USA lacrosse Bob Scott award senior year. Broke school record with 271 points in his career. In football he was an All-Section recipient his junior and senior year, a SOFCA player of the year class C/D in senior year, and made the first team all-state outside linebacker senior year. Helped the basketball team to two state finalists his junior and senior year. He helped the football team to a sectional and regional championship his senior year.

Family Info: Son of Kim and Peter Giachinta. Has three siblings, Matthew, Sam and Tyler who all played collegiate athletics at Army (football), College of Saint Rose (lacrosse) and Utica College (lacrosse) respectively.
