Cole Sutton enters his second season as the head coach of the Red Devil men’s and women’s tennis programs in 2025-2026.
In his first year with the program, Sutton led the women’s team to its first conference tournament appearance in nine years and a first-round win over Washington College to tie their furthest conference finish in the team’s history.
Prior to his arrival in Carlisle, Sutton was an assistant coach with the Division I Loyola University (Md.) Greyhounds, where he helped both programs to a pair of Patriot League playoff appearances. He also aided in guiding the 2023-24 women's team to their highest ever seed in the Patriot League tournament. In addition, Sutton helped to oversee the day-to-day running of the Loyola University tennis program by organizing team practices, scheduling one-on-one training with athletes outside of practice time and created and executed an extensive recruiting plan in an attempt to attract potential athletes to the Charm City.
Before heading to Loyola, Sutton was the assistant coach at The Gilman School in Maryland where he helped the varsity boys team to back-to-back Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association titles in 2021 and 2022.
Sutton graduated from Middlebury College in 2019 with a degree in mathematics. In his four years on the team, the Panthers had a record of 85-18, won the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) title in 2016 and 2019, reached the NCAA semifinals all four years, and won the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championship.
