Dickinson College field hockey team scored a pair of goals in each
half to post a 4-1 win at Swarthmore College on Saturday. |
Lauren Kelly (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) led the
way with a pair of goals on the day. She put the Devils on the
board first, just 6:19 into the game.
Alex Boorse (Center Valley, Pa./Southern
Lehigh) put the Devils in front 2-0, scoring off an
assist from Claire Mammen (Berkeley Heights,
N.J./Governor Livingston) in the 16th minute.
The Garnet answered just before the end of the half as Sara
McCabe scored off an assist from Sophia Agathis with just 1:15
to play in the period.
Kelly tallied her second goal of the game in the 48th minute and
senior Jenny Saber (Potomac, Md./Winston
Churchill) closed out the scoring with just over 10
minutes left in the contest.
Senior Amanda West (Harleysville, Pa./North
Penn) made five saves in goal to earn the win. Gina
Grubb stopped four shots for Swarthmore (5-8, 1-4).
The Red Devils improve to 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the Centennial
Conference. They return home to host McDaniel College on Tuesday at
4:00.
