Senior Katelynn Bias (Mechanicsburg,
Pa./Mechanicsburg) put the Devils on the board just
8:27 into the contest, scoring unassisted off a rebound.
Alyssa Sands (Copley, Ohio/Western Reserve
Academy)scored back-to-back goals, one in each half,
converting a penalty stroke and finishing a corner with assists
from Bias and junior Leah Kaplan (Montclair,
N.J./Montclair) to put the Devils up 3-0.
Lizzie Boorse (Center Valley, Pa./Southern
Lehigh) stretched the lead to 4-0, scoring on a
penalty corner with assists fromJenny Saber (Potomac,
Md./Winston Churchill) and Katie Mersky
(Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) with 13:01
remaining in the game.
The 'Fords looked to rally as Josie Ferri scored with 9:25
remaining and Juliana Morgan-Trostle cut the lead in half with a
goal at the 5:01 mark.
The Devils tightened up the defense and that would be all the
scoring for the day as they improve to 6-9 overall and 4-4 in the
Centennial Conference.
Senior Amanda West (Harleysville, Pa./North
Penn) played outstanding in goal for the Devils,
making 11 saves on the day.
Maggie Cronin made four saves for Haverford (6-9, 4-4).
The Red Devils travel to Gettysburg for a 3:00 start on
Tuesday.
