#6-Bullets Top Devils to Remain Perfect in CC

(Carlisle, Pa.) - The #6-ranked Gettysburg College women's lacrosse team controlled a majority of the draws to lead them past Dickinson, 13-6, on Wednesday afternoon. They improve to 12-2 overall and 6-0 in the Centennial Conference.

 

The Bullets struck early as Lexie Hearn scored just 54 seconds into the game. Sophomore Kaity Moore (Chestertown, Md./St. Andrew's) answered, converting a free-position shot at the 27:26 mark.

 

The teams traded goals with first-year Kara Glazer (Towson, Md./Towson) assisting classmate Clare Manoli (Hudson, Ohio/Western Reserve Academy) with 18:29 to play in the half.

 

The Bullets went on a 3-0 run over the next four minutes beforeSunnie Ko (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) finished a beautiful feed from Abby Larson (Easton, Md./Gunston Day) to make the score, 5-3 with 11:22 on the clock.

 

Gettysburg finished the half with a 4-1 run to stretch the lead to 9-4 at the break. The Devils kept them off the board for the opening 10 minutes of the second half. The Bullets tallied four straight, including two goals and an assist from Hannah Church.

 

Junior Sara Braniecki (Ocean City, Md./Stephen Decatur)assisted Ella Clough (Chicago, Ill./Ignatius College Prep) and added a free position goal for the final of 13-6.

 

The Bullets used a 15-6 advantage on the draw to maintain possession throughout the afternoon, holding a 40-15 edge in shots.

 

Jessie Clark (Devon, Pa./Conestoga) made 12 saves in goal for the Devils, controlling three ground balls as well.

 

Glazer led the attack with a pair of assists and six different Devils scored. Alysa Crellin (Little Compton, R.I./Portsmouth Abbey School) controlled five ground balls while Amanda West (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) caused three turnovers and controlled four ground balls.

 

Hollis Stahl led Gettysburg (12-2, 6-0) with four goals and one assist while Nina Emala added three goals and an assist. Kristen Krammer finished with seven saves on the afternoon.

 

The Red Devils (6-4, 3-3) travel to Ursinus College on Saturday. Opening draw is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
