(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's lacrosse team rolled to an 18-3 win over visiting Cabrini on Friday afternoon. The Red Devils rattled off nine straight goals on the way to a 13-2 lead at halftime behind a pair of goals each from senior Kelsey Muir (Glen Mills, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) and sophomore Clare Manoli (Hudson, Ohio/Western Reserve Academy).
Sophomore Kara Glazer (Towson, Md./Towson) dished out four assists, all during the opening run while classmate Linzi Burstein (Alexandria, Va./TC Williams) added a goal and two of her three assists to help put the Devils in front 9-0.
The Red Devils tallied four goals to open the second half and closed out the scoring in the final seconds, holding a 5-1 edge after the break.
Christina Pasquariello scored twice for Cabrini while Jamie O'Hanlon netted the third. First-year goaltender Janel Folkomer made eight saves while Courtney Davis caused three turnovers to lead the Cavaliers (0-2).
Manoli led the way with four goals as 11 different Devils scored in the game. First-year Lindsey Edgerley (Germantown, Md./Connolly School of the Holy Child) struck twice and dished out and assist while Taryn Abbassian (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills) scored twice and controlled three draws.
Muir added four draws and caused four turnovers to go with her two goals. Senior Sunnie Ko (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) scored twice as well. Senior Jessie Clark (Devon, Pa./Conestoga) made six saves while causing a pair of turnovers in goal.
The Red Devils (3-3) are home again on Sunday, hosting Catholic University at 12:00 pm.
