(Carlisle, Pa.) - The Dickinson College men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season as Stevenson posted a 2-0 decision to claim the title at the Red Devil classic.

Stevenson capitalized on a rebound to net the game-winner in the 28th minute as Josh Stover recovered a diving save by goaltender Cody Hickok (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow) and finished in an open net to put the Mustangs on the board. Ryan Brost got past the defense and was one-on-one at the 18 yard line. He ripped a shot that was saved by Hickok but rebounded right to the foot of a trailing Stover for the goal.

They would break through once again in the 85th minute to add a much needed insurance goal with the Red Devils continuing to apply constant pressure on the Mustang defense. Dickinson had some quality chances but simply could not get one in the net.

The Red Devils held a significant advantage in shots, 18-5, and forced seven corners while allowing just one, defensively.

Ryan Flannelly made 10 saves in the net for Stevenson while Hickok made two saves on the day.

The Red Devils are on the road this week, traveling to Gwynedd-Mercy on Wednesday and then to Washington College for the Centennial Conference opener on Saturday night. Both matches are scheduled for 7:00 pm starts.
