(Bryn Mawr, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's basketball team rolled to a 71-29 win at Bryn Mawr on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils were strong out of the gate and never let up, stretching the lead to 33-8 in the first half before a late bucket made the score 33-10 at the break. Bryn Mawr struck first, but the Devils quickly pulled in front, 14-2.
The Devils held the Owls to just four points through the midway point of the first half. The Devils continued to build the lead in the second half, extending the lead to 42-12 at the 16:32 mark.
First-year Liz Schultz (Dunmore, Pa./Scranton Prep) scored a game-high 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting and controlled six rebounds. Junior Bridget Borgese (Swarthmore, Pa./Notre Dame de Namur) tallied 17 points, eight rebounds, including seven offensive, and three steals. She hit 9-of-11 free throws on the day.
Junior Belma Mekic (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) tallied 14 points, three assists and nine steals. She hit 5-of-7 shots from the field and went 4-for-5 from the line. Classmate Dana Walsh (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) controlled 13 rebounds to go with six points, four assists and five steals.
Nicolette Parmese led Bryn Mawr (0-22, 0-17) with 15 points and eight rebounds.
The Red Devils (3-20, 3-15) travel to Gettysburg College for a 6:00 pm tip-off on Wednesday night.
