(Haverford, Pa.) – The Dickinson field hockey team scored six minutes into Saturday's Centennial Conference opener at Haverford and held on for the win, improving to 2-2 on the season.
First-year Catherine Perlmutter (Blue Bell, Pa./Germantown Academy) scored with an assist from classmate Kendal Packo (Timonium, Md./Notre Dame Prep) at the 28:32 mark of the first half.
The game was statistically even for the most part with Haverford holding a slim edge in shots, 6-5, while the Devils had the advantage in penalty corners, 4-3.
Senior Katy Schlechtweg (Mount Laurel, N.J./Moorestown Friends) made three saves to earn the shutout. Lindsey Lopes made three saves for Haverford as well.
The Red Devils travel to Neumann University on Wednesday for a 4:00 pm start.
