(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's soccer improved to 3-0 in the Centennial Conference with a 2-0 shutout against visiting McDaniel College on Wednesday night.
Junior Alfred Hylton-Dei (Geneva, Switzerland/Mercersburg Academy, Pa.) put the Devils on the board early, scoring off an assist from senior Drew Carneal (Woodbine, Md./Sandy Springs Friends) in the sixth minute.
The score would hold into halftime as the Red Devils held a 7-4 advantage in shots. Dickinson tacked on an insurance goal in the 63rd minute on a beautifully played cross from the left corner. Danny Sheppard (Rydal, Pa./Abington) scored on an assist from Isaac Pitkow (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) with a one-timer from just outside the six yard box.
Senior Reed Milbrath (Dickerson, Md./Sandy Springs Friends) recorded his third shutout of the season, making four saves in goal for the Red Devils.
Nick Over made four saves for McDaniel as they slip to 5-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
The Red Devils improve to 7-2-1 overall and remain unbeaten in the CC with a 3-0 mark. They travel to Johns Hopkins on Saturday to face the Blue Jays at 5:00 pm.
