The Diplomats will host the semifinals and championship game, hosting the winner of Johns Hopkins and Haverford in the first round game on Wednesday. The Red Devils with face Muhlenberg College in the other semifinal match-up.

The match was an even battle, pretty much the entire way. Each team had periods of momentum, but overall play was back-and-forth for the whole 110 minutes.

The Diplomats almost struck in the early minutes of the game as a scramble in front of the Dickinson net, led to a shot a save from senior Reed Milbrath (Dickerson, Md./Sandy Springs Friends).

The first half was statistically even with each team recording eight shots and three corners. The Diplomats came out of halftime with a strong start, but the Red Devils quickly countered and controlled possession after an initial burst from F&M.

The Diplomats regrouped and had a flurry of shots at the 58 minute mark. Sam Lane served a corner toward the goal that Milbrath knocked away. Dave Rosenfeld and Max Watson fired back-to-back shots but Milbrath was there to turn back both and keep the match scoreless.

The Red Devils had a great chance late in the match as they found junior Isaac Pitkow (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) on the ride side. Pitkow made a strong challenge on the right post but F&M goalkeeper Trevor Britton made the save.

The Diplomats outshot the Devils, 11-3, in the second half and held a 5-0 advantage in overtime. The Red Devils were able to hold on and play to a draw as they move to 11-4-2 overall and 6-1-2 in the conference.
