(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's and women's squash teams faced some tough competition on Sunday, falling in a pair of dual matches at Franklin & Marshall College.
The #17-ranked Diplomat women topped #34-Dickinson, 9-0. First-year Stuart Lemay (Harwich Port, Mass./Westover) played well in the top spot, falling (11-6, 11-5, 11-6).
The Red Devils played well with strong starts in the middle matches. First-year Meghan Shippe (Baltimore, Md./Roland Park) battled in the number seven spot, taking seven points in the opening set, (11-7, 11-3, 11-2).
Franklin & Marshall improved to 4-2 overall while the Red Devils slip to 0-2 on the year.
The Red Devil men dropped a 9-0 decision to the #7-ranked Diplomats. First-year Nicholas Struzenski (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) and sophomore Preston Miller (New York, N.Y./Westminster School) led the Red Devils in the top two flights.
Sophomore Zachary Keller-Coffey (Millbrook, N.Y./Millbrook) turned in a strong match in the fifth flight.
The Diplomats improved to 4-2 on the year while the Devils slip to 1-5 overall.
The Red Devil men return home to host Bard College on December 6th. The women will travel to Colgate University on December 6th to face Colgate and William Smith.
