(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's lacrosse team turned in dominant performance, posting a 19-6 win over visiting Susquehanna University on Wednesday afternoon. Senior Carly O'Brien (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton Day) tallied five goals and two assists while sophomore Maddy Siebold (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes) added five goals as well, handing out an assist to lead the offensive attack.

Senior JoJo Auerbach (Chevy Chase, Md./Bullis School) and Tara Cuddihy (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) turned in strong performances in the nets, each making five saves on the day. The Red Devil defense was solid as well, holding the Crusaders scoreless for the final 39 minutes of the contest.

The Red Devils jumped out early as O'Brien struck twine just 19 seconds in, finishing an assist from Caroline Clancy (Monkton, Md./Hereford) off the opening draw. O'Brien paid it forward, dishing out an assist to Siebold for a 2-0 start.

Kelcie Ehler put Susquehanna on the board, scoring her 31st goal of the season. The Red Devils countered with a 4-0 run to stretch the lead to 6-1 at the 17:29 mark. Sophie Waine (Wellesley, Mass./Greenwich) started the clip, scoring her 10th of the season.

Jennifer Morrissey (Rockville, Md./Good Counsel) converted a free position goal and first-year Elizabeth Sitko (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) finished a beautiful feed from Katie Iverson (Marblehead, Mass./Pingree School) to put the Devils up, 5-1.

Siebold found the net for the second time, scoring off an assist from sophomore Talene Bush (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) for a 6-1 advantage.

The Crusaders looked to rally as Ehler scored back-to-back goals in a span of just over a minute to break up the Devil run. Bush answered with a goal off an assist from Sitko, and Susquehanna completed a 5-2 run to make it a two-goal game, 8-6, with just over five minutes to play in the first half.

Dickinson closed out the half with three straight goals, and would hold the Crusaders scoreless for the remainder of the game. Clancy tallied and unassisted goal and fed junior Mara Cassidy (Silver Spring, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) before O'Brien netted a hat-trick with her third for an 11-6 lead at halftime.

The Red Devils struck quickly again to start the second half as Siebold struck 58 seconds in, and again 27 seconds later on a free position. Siebold added to her point total with an assist to O'Brien, stretching the margin to 14-6, with 27:47 on the clock.

Clancy and O'Brien added two more goals to give the Devils a 10-goal advantage, with 27 minutes still to play. Siebold finished an assist from O'Brien and Sitko converted a free position for an 18-6 advantage at the 21 minute mark.

The Devils were in slow down mode from that point. Sophomore Allison Carey (Weston, Conn./Laurelton Hall) closed out the scoring, netting an assist from first-year Emily Byrne (Armonk, N.Y./Byram Hills) for the final of 19-6.

O'Brien finished with five goals and two assists while Siebold added five goals and one assist. Siebold did a little of everything, adding five ground balls, three draws and caused a pair of turnovers. Iverson was solid in the circle, controlling four draws, including a sweet one-hand grab.

Clancy finished with two goals, two assists and three GBs. Moira Mahoney (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) controlled three draws and picked up a pair of GBs. Sophomore Molli Haimerl (Old Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) added a pair of draw controls as well.

Ehler led Susquehanna (3-6) with three goals. Carolyn Figiola made six saves in goal while Alyssa Rothman came on to make three.

The Red Devils improve to 5-5 overall. They return to Centennial Conference action on Saturday, traveling to Washington College for a 1:00 pm start.
