Box Score (Westminster, Md.) – The Dickinson women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-0 lead and went on to a 15-6, Centennial Conference victory at McDaniel College on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior goaltender Tara Cuddihy (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) had another strong performance while recording her 100th career ground ball. She picked up five on the afternoon, also causing three turnovers and turning away six shots.
Eleanor Kaestner (Glyndon, Md./Franklin) scored twice in the Devils' opening run while senior Sophie Waine (Wellesley, Mass./Greenwich) dished out a pair of assists.
The Green Terror countered with back-to-goals as Megan Quattrone capitalized on a free position to cut the deficit to 5-2.
Sam Marmo (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) scored and fed Kaestner for the hat-trick to give the Red Devils a 7-3 lead at halftime.
Waine scored back-to-back goals to start the second half and Kaestner found the net three more times to finish with six goals on just seven shots.
Marmo handed out a pair of assists in the second half with Maddie Parker (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) and Talene Bush (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) adding goals as well.
Kaestner finished with three draws to go with her six goals. McKenzie Rambusch (Madison, N.J./Madison) won three draws while Marmo tallied three GBs and two draws.
The Red Devils improve to 6-4 overall and 3-0 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to host Haverford College on Saturday. The Red Devils will celebrate Senior Day with the opening draw set for 3:00 pm.
