Box Score (Haverford, Pa.) – Dickinson senior Chelsea Kramer (New Vernon, N.J./Morristown-Beard) scored with just over six minutes to play in the first half and that would be enough as the Red Devil field hockey team held on for a 1-0 victory at Haverford College.
Kramer collected a loose ball and found the back of the cage with 6:44 to play in the first half.
The Red Devils dominated the game on paper, outshooting the hosts, 15-3, and holding a 12-5 advantage in penalty corners.
The Red Devils received outstanding play in the defensive end as junior goalkeeper Heather Meeder (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) made six saves on the day.
Meeder also had some help with junior Emily Mycek (Norristown, Pa./Methacton) and first-year Hannah Spiri (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) coming away with defensive saves to help preserve the shutout.
The Red Devils improve to 4-11 overall and 3-5 in the Centennial Conference. They are on the road again on Wednesday, traveling to McDaniel College for a 4:00 pm start.
