Bloes Nets Hat-Trick as Red Devils Roll Past Owls

Box Score

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's lacrosse jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, posting a 15-1 win over visiting Bryn Mawr College on Tuesday night. The Red Devils put 12 goals on the board in the opening 13 minutes, holding the Owls scoreless throughout the first half.

Sophomore Ashley Conner (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes) struck first, scoring just 48 seconds into the contest and the Red Devils were off and running.

Junior Eleanor Kaestner (Glyndon, Md./Franklin) and Maddie Parker (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) scored back-to-back goals and first-year Erika Bloes (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) netted a hat-trick before the break.

Senior Katie Barton (Cincinnati, Ohio/Cincinnati Country Day) tallied a goal and an assist around a strike from Laurie Travaglini (Darien, Conn./Darien) to close out the scoring for the half while Sam Marmo (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) and Greta Holt (Alexandria, Va./Episcopal) added free position goals.

The Red Devils continued to slow the pace in the second half. Junior McKenzie Rambusch (Madison, N.J./Madison) put away back-to-back tallies before Kendall Derber slipped one into the net for Bryn Mawr at the 5:23 mark.

Travaglini finished things off, converting a free position attempt with 1:16 remaining in the game.

Sophomore Mindy Corney (Ballston Lake, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) anchored a tremendous defensive effort, forcing four turnovers and controlling four ground balls and three draws. Rambusch and Travaglini each tallied three draws as well.

First-year goaltender Avery Priest (San Rafael, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) made just four saves, but turned away all of them from point blank range.

The Red Devils improve to 4-4 overall and move to 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. They are home again on Friday, hosting #5-ranked York College for Autism Awareness Day. Opening draw is set for 4:00 pm.
