Box Score (Bridgewater, Va.) – The Dickinson women's lacrosse team turned in a dominant performance on Saturday, posting a 19-4 win at Bridgewater College as 14 different players found the net.
The Red Devils were in control, right from the opening draw as senior Sam Marmo (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) put a goal on the board just 26 seconds in.
Dickinson opened up a 5-0 lead in the first 10 minutes as sophomore Erika Bloes (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) tallied a pair of goals and dished out an assist in the opening run.
Bridgewater broke up the run with a free position at the 20-minute mark, but the Red Devils answered with seven more goals to take a 12-1 lead at halftime.
Six different players scored during the run, led by two from senior Eleanor Kaestner (Glyndon, Md./Franklin). Marmo bookended the half, converting a free position at the two-minute mark.
After the break, Bridgewater had a solid start, sandwiching a pair of goals around a strike from Maddie Parker (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman).
Maddy Gesner (West Newton, Mass./Kimball Union Academy) dished out an assist and scored while Chase Landis (New Canaan, Conn./Berkshire) put back-to-back goals on the board in a 6-0 run before the Eagles netted a final goal with just 13 seconds to play.
14 players scored for the Red Devils as just four tallied a pair on the day. Mack Maurer (Charlottesville, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) dished out two assists, adding a goal to go with four draw controls.
Senior Anne Dunster (Cos Cobb, Conn./Greenwich) had two assists, a goal and three GBs while Parker finished with a goal and assist to go with six draws on the day.
Avery Priest (San Rafael, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) tallied three saves, Drew Yager (Towson, Md./Notre Dame Prep) had a pair and AJ Johns (Hamden, Conn./Sacred Heart) turned away one of two shots she faced to keep the Eagles in check all afternoon.
The Red Devils improve to 5-2 on the season. They return home to face Washington College on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
