Second Half Run Sparks Red Devils to 16-9 Win

(Allentown, Pa.) – The #23-ranked Dickinson women's lacrosse team scored four goals to open the second half on the way to a 16-9 win at Muhlenberg College on Saturday afternoon.

The teams traded goals with Muhlenberg taking a 3-2 lead with just over 20 minutes to play in the first half.

Gabriella Crivelli tallied her third goal of the game to put the Mules in front 4-2 before the Red Devils countered with a 4-0 run.

Mack Maurer (Charlottesville, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) and Erika Bloes (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) scored unassisted before Greta Holt (Alexandria, Va./Episcopal Academy) tallied her second of the game on a free position at the 10:04 mark.

Senior Eleanor Kaestner (Glyndon, Md./Franklin) finished an assist from classmate Anne Dunster (Cos Cobb, Conn./Greenwich) to give the Red Devils a 6-4 advantage.

Taliah Carson converted a free position attempt to cut the margin to 6-5 at halftime.

Dunster struck twice to open the second half and tallied an assist to Kaestner for a 10-5 lead after Bloes added a man-down goal.

Muhlenberg answered with back-to-back goals, but the Red Devils would come back with six straight to gain some separation at 16-9.

Dunster scored twice and dished out an assist in the final run for the Red Devils. The Mules found the net for two more goals for the final of 16-9.

Dunster had a monster game with four goals and three assists, raising her career-point mark to 209. She became the second Red Devil in program history to reach the 200-point milestone on Wednesday at Gettysburg.

Bloes finished with three goals and one assist while Kaestner added a hat-trick as well. Holt scored twice and controlled four draws while senior McKenzie Rambusch (Madison, N.J./Madison) pulled in five draws on the day.

Laurie Travaglini (Darien, Conn./Darien) forced three turnovers and controlled five ground balls. Tara Cassidy (Glen Rock, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) also caused three turnovers and tallied four GBs. Clare Janzer (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) added four GBs as well.

Drew Yager (Towson, Md./Notre Dame Prep) and Avery Priest (San Rafael, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) each made three saves in the nets for Dickinson.

The Red Devils improve to 10-4 overall and 5-2 in the Centennial Conference. They return home on Wednesday to host Franklin & Marshall at 4:00 pm.
