Red Devils Blank Shenandoah to Remain Unbeaten

(Winchester, Va.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team improved to 4-0-2 on the season, posting a 2-0 win at Shenandoah University on Tuesday night.

First-year Meg Tate (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) put the Red Devils on board, scoring off an assist from classmate Lauren Bracken (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Baldwin School) in the 25th minute.

Senior Addy Zandi (West Chester, Pa./B. Reed Henderson) tallied an insurance goal with just over 10 minutes remaining, putting a shot in the upper right corner of the net.

Statistically the match was relatively even with the Hornets holding the advantage in shots, 11-9, while the Red Devils held a 4-3 edge in corners on the night.

Sophomore goaltender Carli Boyer (Silver Spring, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) made six shots to preserve the shutout while Anna Jacobson finished with three saves for Shenandoah as they slip to 5-3.

The Red Devils remain unbeaten as they head into Centennial Conference play on Saturday, traveling to Swarthmore College for a 1:00 pm kick-off.
