Brown Named Both United Soccer Coaches and CSC Scholar All-American

CARLILSE, Pa. - Dickinson women's soccer senior defender Lila Brown added onto her list of postseason accomplishments on Thursday as she was named a First Team Scholar All-American by both the United Soccer Coaches and College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) organizations.

Both organizations recognize the nation's top student-athletes for excellence in both academics and soccer performance.

Brown, the Environmental Science major from Washington, D.C. dominated in the classroom posting a 4.00 GPA, while on the pitch she earned her first All-American award after claiming her second straight All-Region selection. Brown started in all 21 matches for the Red Devils tallying five goals on 32 shots (16 on target), while collecting three helpers as well. On the defensive side of the ball she was a major contributor in a stingy Dickinson defense that surrendered just 16 goals during the season which helped her become the first member of the Red and White to claim the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year award. Offensively she was also a big threat posting a goal and assist in the regular season finale at Muhlenberg, before scoring twice in the Centennial Conference Tournament first round victory over Washington (Md.) at home.
