Box Score (Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson field hockey team suffered a heartbreaker at Muhlenberg as the Mules escaped with a 1-0 decision, scoring in the first minute of overtime on Saturday.
The Red Devils held the advantage on shots for the day, outshooting the Mules 10-2 over the second and third quarters. Dickinson held a 6-3 advantage in penalty corners but were unable to produce a goal.
The Red Devils were on target, forcing seven saves from Muhlenberg goalkeeper Jordan Seagrave and a defensive save as well from Sophie Beeler.
The teams played scoreless through the match and then in overtime Alexandra Gann picked up a rebound and scored to give Muhlenberg the win.
Senior goalkeeper Heather Meeder (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) made one save for the Red Devils.
Dickinson slips to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to host Ursinus College on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
