(Carlisle, Pa.) – The #23-ranked Dickinson women's squash team posted a 6-3 win over Haverford before suffering a 6-3 setback to #18 Franklin & Marshall on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils celebrated senior Jaime Leigh Edghill (Diego Martin, Trinidad & Tobago) prior to the F&M match and she responded, winning the sixth flight (11-6, 11-7, 11-9) after posting a straight set win in the opener with Haverford.
First-year Doxey Loupassi (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) battled to a pair of wins, going (11-4, 6-11, 11-5, 11-3) against Haverford and taking the fifth in the nightcap (11-7, 2-11, 7-11, 11-9, 17-15).
Jocelyn Feliciano (New Haven, Conn./Ethel Walker School) dropped a thrilling marathon in the number four spot of the F&M match, going extra points in four sets, (14-12, 11-13, 17-19, 11-6, 13-15). She had a 3-1 win against Haverford (11-4, 13-11, 9-11, 11-5).
Lindsay Kuracina (Thornhill, Ontario, Canada/Lake Forest) returned to the Red Devil line-up and won the top-flight against Haverford (11-3, 11-1, 11-3).
Eloise Nimoityn (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Episcopal Academy) and Aya Sobhy (Stroudsburg, Pa./Blair Academy) won the second and third flights in the opener as Sobhy rolled to an (11-4, 11-4, 11-1) decision.
Sophomore Sarah Wojtczak (Woodbury, Conn./Westover) earned the third point against the Diplomats, winning (11-8, 11-6, 11-9).
The Red Devils move to 6-11 on the season. They return to action on Sunday morning, hosting Mount Holyoke College at 9:30 am.
