Box Score (Bradenton, Fla.) – The Dickinson women's lacrosse team had a strong showing in Florida on Friday afternoon, posting a 13-9 win over Rhodes College (Tenn.).
The Red Devils jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes and first-year Maddy Gesner (West Newton, Mass./Kimball Union Academy) netted her second goal of the game to put Dickinson in front 4-1 with 16:48 to play in the half.
Hayden Posencheg (Newtown Square, Pa./Friends' Central) found the net and Mack Maurer (Charlottesville, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) countered a goal from Rhodes with just one second on the clock to put Dickinson in front 6-2 at halftime.
Rhodes came out of halftime and erupted with four straight goals to tie the game with just over 22 minutes remaining.
Gesner and Mack sandwiched goals around Aiden Pike's fourth of the game to give the Red Devils an 8-7 advantage at the 16:23 mark.
That goal triggered a 6-0 run for the Red Devils with six different goal scorers to stretch the margin to 13-7 with just 1:13 on the clock.
Rhodes tacked on two late goals from Peyton Bennett for the final of 13-9.

The Red Devils improve to 3-3 on the season. They are scheduled to play at Washington College on March 21, but all spring competition will be suspended indefinitely, beginning on March 16.
